Food
The food we serve in our café is the same high-quality, artisanal produce that we sell in the Farm Shop: Eadles Farm ham and bacon in our sandwiches, quality Emmental cheese from Wychwood Fine Foods in our toasties, and North Cotswolds Dairy milk in our coffees and milkshakes. Wychwood Fine Foods make our quiches and our pesto is homemade.
Outdoor seating
We have plenty of outdoor tables in our grassy glade for all our customers to enjoy safely. Please, no picnics – only food purchased at Rectory Farm is to be consumed on our site.
Pick up a hot coffee, a pastry or a gelato and let your children enjoy exploring our brand new adventure playground.
Play Area
Our new adventure play area opened in spring 2022 and is a big hit with our younger visitors. Our large, sheltered sandpit remains in situ, and the whole grassy area is surrounded by wooden tables for you to enjoy your PYO, shop and cafe purchases from.
Please note that children must be supervised at all times while using the play equipment.
Cakes
Our cake counter is replenished daily with cakes and slices baked by Paul from Cotswold Baking – a brilliant local and independent producer.
Paul only bakes with the highest quality ingredients and as much local produce as possible. When in season he bakes using the walnuts, hazelnuts and apples grown on the farm where the bakery is based in Swerford, and our own selections of Paul’s cakes will change with the seasons too. You’ll find several delicious vegan and gluten free options on our cake board, and you can also buy Paul’s cakes wrapped up to enjoy at home from the Farm Shop.
Coffee & Tea
We get our freshly roasted coffee beans from Coffee Mongers – a small family business based in Lymington. All our espresso coffee is made to order, and on hot summer days we pour it over ice. For the tea drinkers we serve teapigs Everyday Brew, Peppermint, Super Fruit, Green Decaf – and more.
PYO
The Rectory Farm picking season runs from April - October, starting with asparagus and finishing with pumpkins.
Our strawberries ripen up at the start of May and finish into September. Check out our PYO page to see what's in season when, and for lots of recipe ideas.
Plan your visit
Enjoy a day out at Rectory Farm picking all your favourite fruit and vegetables to take home and enjoy. Remember to bring your own punnets and carrier bags to help us reduce plastic use.
Visit the shop from March - December to stock up on kitchen essentials and all our ready-picked fruit and vegetables if you’re short on time.
rectory farm cafe
Join us for coffee and locally baked pastries, a pot of tea and a slice of homemade cake or a cool ice-cream topped with a flake.
We have both indoor seating and outdoor seating (covered and uncovered) and plenty of space for families and groups to gather and catch up over good food and drink.
help us to reduce waste
Please try wherever possible to bring your own containers and carrier bags when you visit our Farm Shop and PYO. We offer a discount on all our PYO fruit and vegetables when you bring your own container - do good and save money!
Lots of small containers for PYO are better than one large one, as soft fruit will easily bruise and squash at the bottom of a deep container.
Use our "bring your own weigh station" to weigh your containers before picking – we can then deduct these from the weight of your fruit when you come to pay at the end.
Remember to bring your own 1 litre bottle for milk or buy a Rectory Farm glass bottle in the shop.
